Founded in 1906 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Phi Kappa Tau is a national fraternity that fosters three core ideals within its membership: Learning. Leading. Serving.
The Alpha Chi Chapter at Mississippi State University was founded in 1938, and rechartered in 2015. Phi Kappa Tau includes 4,500 undergraduates nationally in the United States, and has served more than 90,000 initiates throughout the past 108 years.
Annually brothers have the opportunity to attend a variety of premier leadership and character development opportunities through the Fraternity's Men of Character Programs. Chapters participate in philanthropic and service efforts for the SeriousFun Children's Network and the USO.
